Costa Mesa City Elections and the future of Fairview Park

Costa Mesa City Elections and the future of Fairview Park

Many of Costa Mesa voters are concerned about the future of Fairview Park and the upcoming elections could be the deciding factor of Fairview Park’s future.  Two Costa Mesa candidates, Jay Humphrey for Costa Mesa City Council 2014 and Katrina Foley have promised not to disturb the natural state of Fairview Park, and these two community leaders are known for keeping their word.

Bill Gilbert, in his commentary appearing October 28, 2014, in the Daily Pilot put it perfectly in the first paragraph “When you vote this November — and you surely must — please keep reasoning in mind. Political parties are not an issue here. I know people from political persuasions different from mine, and they agree we must take care not to damage valuable natural areas in Fairview Park.”

Friends of Fairview Nature Park placed the following statement on their Facebook page on Oct. 8, 2014:

Absentee ballots for November’s election were mailed out earlier this week. If you are going to vote by mail and want to save Fairview Park, the choice is pretty easy. Jay Humphrey and Katrina Foley for Costa Mesa city Council are the top two park savers that stand the highest chance of winning against the park pavers. It will be a close election so make sure your vote doesn’t get split letting a park paver win.

Help Save Fairview Park by voting for Katrina Foley and Jay Humphrey!

The Friends of Fairview Park have endorsed Katrina Foley as a candidate for Costa Mesa City Council
